Dedicated Loads
Sterling Freight has weekly scheduled
sailings to and from Belize for dedicated container loads.
Usually, within 7 days your container is moving on the water once
it is delivered to the port. Dedicated containers are not subject
to our LCL schedule, which means less time in transit.
US Customs and Border Patrol regulations (post
9/11) are in effect, so advance notice must be given, as well as
all documentation must be submitted before the loading of your
container to the ship. In order for us to file properly, please
give us advance notice on your needs, and we can proceed to avoid
any unwanted delays.
Licensed vehicles (trucks, cars, motorcycles,
etc...) require a 72 hour security check through US Customs when
they are being exported to Belize. Additionally, Belize Customs
requires an additional security check on new vehicles (up to 5
years old) entering the country, so please contact us if this
concerns your shipment.
Certain articles entering Belize also need
permits, or certification which we will file on your behalf. Upon
receipt of your packing lists and invoices, we will advise if this
is applicable to your goods.
Simply put, the more information you provide us,
the less chance of delays or additional charges.
